Dogs, left to breed amongst themselves will eventually revert to “primitive type”.
Some breeds still retain that type, such as Dingos, Ibizan Hounds, Pharoah Hounds, *all* of the Podengo/Podenco types and Spitz types.
When you strip away all of man’s genetic “interference”, those dogs are what original dogs looked like.
These are wolf-coyote hybrids, according to the DNA from 700 separate and geographically separated specimens.
