It was depressing but Bruce Dern was outstanding in his performance.
I wanted that old guy to get his money so bad.
I watched Nebraska last night. You start out thinking Dern’s character was just senile. Then you realize, throughout the movie, why he turned out that way. The scene in his parents bedroom just made me so sad for the guy.
I doubt if he will win because he is not gay, black or controversial. Too bad. I’ve liked his bad guy characters for years.
