I live here, in the foothills away from that sick town that 99.9% radical socialist/anarchists. Street performers used to be one of the attractions for tourists in this resort community. Santa Cruz pays the highest welfare payments in the country. It’s a magnet for the druggies and homeless. The city council gives them the run of downtown. Now, the streets and parks are littered with feces and used needles. Businesses complained about this and they restricted the musicians. Go fig...no, don’t...they’ve been doing this for 40 years. The old incestuous hippies that run this town hate business until it comes to tax time.
Last time I was downtown some homeless guy wanted to fight me because I corrected his assertion that The Jungle Book was written by Dr Suess.
