They have no idea he’s remotely sick. They know nothing. It’s a complete charade of normalcy while each month he spends two days in a hotel recuperating from chemo 2 mi from home. Goes so far as to have his secty order candy from cities he claims he’s traveling to at that time so as to bring them a gift. It is INSANITY. Should he die they may ever regret not having spent more time with him etc. He is depriving them of choices that may have lasting consequences.

I can only guess that maybe your friend’s children may feel the same, but I could be wrong. Either way, I hope they do not blame your friend-right or wrong, she is honoring his wishes. Neither of the kids blamed me, but then I did not know, either...

I just finished some invoices and took Husky girl out-it is down to 34 here and the drizzle is absolutely icy, dripping off the evergreen trees on me when I was standing under them to stay drier. The dog spotted the next door neighbor’s cat and was romping happily along the fence while it just sat there looking at her till she got bored and we came back in. She loves this weather, with all her layers of fur and being bred for the cold, but I’ve had enough of the Siberian express for one winter...
