The militarization of US police forces is ongoing and escalating. Many cities and towns now own tanks, armed personnel carriers, even attack helicopters, and almost all are outfitted with military weapons not available to the general public.
And, it is not just your hometown cops who are getting new boy-toys. The military itself is buying up weaponry not just for use in the current or next scheduled war, but to deal with the likes of you...
Also ignored (as if it didn’t even exist) is the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 which generally bars the military from law enforcement activities within the United States.
According to Public Intelligence:

And, to you tough-talking Neo-Cons with your AR-15 rifles and a few thousand rounds of ammo, here is the reality: they will take your guns, and no, all your Second Amendment bluster aside, you are not going to do anything about it. You are not going to take on a platoon of Marines with state-of-the-art automatic weapons...

True, but there are plenty of civilian apartment complexes and houses surrounding most military posts/bases.
Wouldn’t surprise me if the CO didn’t one day say “OK boys and girls...if you have personal weapons at home, bring them in by 0600 Friday, and there will not be any penalties. Otherwise...”

That is, unless the FCC doesn’t think that news fits the public’s “critical information needs”
If some psychopath politician orders a door to door confiscation of weapons, it may work one time, in one neighborhood, in one town. But that's it. Word will spread and the next neighborhood or town will be bloodier and the one after that will be even bloodier.
It's a sickening thought to even imagine such a thing. Police and US military are members of the same communities we are talking about here. I can't believe they would want to murder us any more than we would ever want to murder them! Especially for some insane politician!
The end of cheap energy, the end of cheap food, the end of the US dollar... the next 20 years do not look bright. It is now perfectly clear we have been sold out by decades of political psychopaths and criminals with an insatiable desire for wealth and power.
But we are just talking about opportunistic political animals, not Gods. They do not get to dictate how we behave or what we believe in. We can be surprisingly strong and resolute, and full of compassion for our neighbors.
Correct me if you think I am wrong, but the only peaceful/powerful thing we can do at this moment is stop feeding the machine. Take your money out of the banks. Work on being as self sufficient as you can. Learn old skills. Make less money. Pay less taxes.
But you guys already knew all that.
By accepting that felons, having served their sentence, may be barred from arms or voting you have already lost these rights — just, perhaps, not yet

(IOW, all they need to do is slap you with felon charges, and then your fellow-citizens will deprive you of rights for them even after you've served your sentence.)

True, serving under the Obama Regime has it’s drawbacks for those who stay in. Just don’t underestimate the commitment of those who have been “purged” or decided to leave on their own accord. Just because one changes the uniform for civilian clothing, doesn’t mean that they no longer honor their Oath or somehow “checked” their training at the gate upon leaving the last duty station.
Have a little more faith and respect for our Vets. It would be appreciated.
Why shoot at cops and soldiers? The politicians and bureaucrats that sent them are much softer targets.
I’m smart enough to not be barricaded in. The chiefs that give the orders have to sleep sometime. So do the politicians and other bureaucrats.
