All medical debt can be discharged by filing a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.

So, a young person with no assets who is unlucky enough to get hurt of seriously ill, would be better off running up the debt on Medicaid and then declaring bankruptcy to void future repayment.

I just wonder whether the Congress incorporated some wording in the law that would make it impossible to discharge that sort of debt. Otherwise, I think we would see or hear ads from lawyers that warn you of this and advise that you file for bankruptcy to protect your estate.

I don’t know, just wondering.
