Sorry.

This is nothing mkre than the same BS I have observed for 30 years.

The lines between San Jose and Morgan Hill, even as far south as the MDF or CO in Salinas have been cut by vandals every couple years.

The Metcalf power substation has been similarly vandalized.

The lines in the Oakland are also cut for a variety of reasons related to vandals and backhoes.

There really isn’t anything to be alarmed about on this issue, in this area.

I believe these same areas were attacked around 2006/7 at which time I took an interest in ham radio but, it’s happened many times before.

Oh, and the circuits are not hidden. The right of way diagrams are online. You can Google them.

I won’t say where as I am bound by agreement but, they are publicly accessable.

However, as always, Be Prepared

Do they always cut the telecom lines before the vandals go after the power lines? Do they use spotters and determine ranges and best shooting positions before they vandalizes these lines? If they do then you guys must have some very sophisticated vandals and that would worry me just as much.
