This guy talks like “The Economy” is some incomprehensible force like a hurricane or earthquake.

No the economy of this country has been slowly devoured by 70 years of slowly plodding socialist policies. Your once beautiful city has be slowly eroded away by socialism.

Your city has been especially hurt because of its total control by socialist policies advanced you Federal, State and City governments all controlled for most of the 70 years by Democratic administrations.

The forces that have swallowed your city are not in the least as mysterious as Big Foot. NO your city was eaten by Socialism.
