True, the Aspen/Volares that replaced the Dart/Valiant have the dubious distinction of being among the most recalled cars in history. Even today, any of them still around in mint condition are considered nothing more than used cars.
More like poor management. Think of how much more dynamic the car industry would be today if bad companies were allowed to go under.
