I have Blazing Saddles, it is not edited. The bean scene, sound effects and all is there too. On TV, they edit out the fart sound. Why?! Fart sounds are “bad” in silly humor?.
I wonder if in England if they still ask for a fag? (Their word for cigarette.) An acquaintance visited years ago with her husband, a citizen. He asked my husband if he had a spare fag. PARDON ME?! -was his reply. There was a lot of laughter after having the term explained.

I remember hearing there was a line in the Kinks’ “Well Respected Man” that caused a bit of a stir here in the States:
“And he likes his fags the best...”
