Funny how in all the years deaf people have existed in this country it is only now that we need a sign that says to the police Im deaf dont assault me. IMO we have always needed such a sign. For example, it would also mean "I'm deaf. I need an interpreter."

It would also help in medical emergencies, tho perhaps one of the medic-alert bracelets wouldn’t hurt either.

IMO we have always needed such a sign. For example, it would also mean "I'm deaf. I need an interpreter." You sure like giving the government power to require certain people to carry signs. You might want to be careful, it's a slippery slope.
