Arrested woman refused to pay $1000 cab ride from JFK to Mass.
A pretty blonde woman got off a flight from Brazil at JFK Airport, hailed a yellow cab to her Massachusetts home — and then stiffed the driver on the almost $1000 fare, called him a moron, and threatened to call President Obama on the cops who arrested her. Denise Rebelato, 31, took the cab Wednesday afternoon after driver Adnun Chaudhury quoted a $980 price when she asked for the over 200-mile trip to Framingham. She told him to take the I-95N, then claimed she hadn’t and berated him as a “moron,” he told the Post.

Wow I still get that ill feeling every time I read something like that. That’s one of the reasons I quit after 10 years. I tell people all the time who are for gun control: If they think the world is made up of mostly good, sane people and they feel they are perfectly safe walking around in public, then drive a taxi. Their view on that will change pretty quick. There is just an absolute mind boggling amount of people out there who are completely out of their minds who at any minute can make an attempt on their life, and what are they going to do when that happens? 3 times I had people try to kill me and it was just by sheer luck I got away. But it shouldn’t have been sheer luck. I should have been able to blow their brains out. Like the one guy who chased me around the cab trying to stab me to death, or the one who pointed a gun at my head from the back seat at a stop light - that one I got away by jumping out of the cab and running down the street before I even knew what I was doing, but he could have easily shot me in the back. Oh yeah and the one nut who tried to choke me to death while I was driving down the Long Island expressway at 60 mph. That’s why I really hit the roof when I heard an armed bodyguard protected billionaire like Bloomberg dictate to us how we are not allowed to protect ourselves with a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. WTF does he know about having his life in immediate danger? All those cab drivers out there with nothing but a tire iron under their seat which I heard now gets a cab driver a ticket in NYC, and forget a knife. That gets you arrested. I’m so glad I moved the hell out of that dump.
