Except it turns out it was.
No it wasn't. It was about Hillary's "Army" of hags whispering in the dark, plotting her takeover of the country.
And it was evil as hell.
And here's the part that really chaps me. Coke airs an offensive ad. Conservatives are the only ones smart enough to recognize the offense and the liberal blogosphere immediately demonstrate their own "tolerance" by calling conservatives intolerant, stupid, racist, bigots for taking offense.
You were [unwittingly] exposed to legendary David Ogilvey’s maxim of Madison Ave...”Sell the sizzle not the steak”.
Jes sayin’....that’s why he was so successful. ;)
The puppy and the doberman head. The latter reminded me of Magnum PI and Higgins’ lads Zeus and Apollo.
The rest sucked.
I agree. Finally some class singing the National Anthem.
I seriously started to cry. I hear the NA and think of what our founding fathers went through and the great nation they formed. And now...we are rapidly diving into the slop of depravity. My heart breaks from what we once were, to where we are now, to where we are going, barring a miracle.
Kinda brings chills.
Went tape delay, skipped just about every single commercial completely.
And never saw a swcond of the half time show.
I wanted to see football, not social economic subliminal diversionary manipulation.
Agreed but will argue that Tom Sullivan, who is blind, SB X was my favorite.
Note that at the following link SB XI, it was “America The Beautiful” not the National anthem.
X - Tom Sullivan (1976)
XI - Vicki Carr (America the Beautiful) (1977)
Also, XXXV - Backstreet Boys (Signed by Tom Cooney)
“America The Beautiful” performed by Ray Charles (2001)
All SB songs and performers are shown@ link!

Have a great day.
Here for your enjoyment one last time is Renee Fleming singing our National Anthem at Super Bowl 48.. (Hopefully the link works.)
Game could definitely be better. I am excited about the commercial for The Strain. It is a series coming out on FX in July about a vampire take over of the earth. Its NOT sparkly vampires. Very dark. Based on the book trilogy by Guillermo del Toro.
It did that for me, too, but so did the VW ad with the two angel-winged engineers in the mens' room. (Mrs. Reo said I have coarse mind, but she laughed out loud, too.)
I agree. Except for the Soldier Welcome Home. Booring game, booring commercials.
Seinfeld made a commercial? Sure glad I missed it. Was it about how great NYC is and we should come and visit? The man is boring as peat moss.
Regarding the puppy/horse commercial, I saw a behind the scenes of that one and the female actress said it may be the start of a series or something similar to that.
I’m wondering if Budweiser will do what a coffee company did a while back and slowly develop a romance between the female and male leads. Was it Maxwell House coffee that had the romance develop through a series of commercials?
For those of us who have limited bandwidth, would you care to identify the commercial to which you link?
I was taken back by the Coke commercial, but the remember that Coke is sold all over the World and was played in 170 countries.
Reminds me of the infinity commercials when the car was originally introduced. The salespeople would watch the ad and, fuming, yell at the tv, “Show the dam* car!”.
You never saw the car in those commercials.
Maserati must be lowering their price to where enough people can afford it that it is worth advertising it on the superbowl.
At first I was going to say that the people watching in 170 countries are tuning in to see American football and American culture, but then I remembered that the commercials in the other 169 countries are controlled locally, i.e. the rest of the world is NOT necessarily seeing our commercials. Either way, your feeble attempt to rationalize Coke's offensive commercial doesn't wash.
For the record-I boycotted the Super Bore because they refused to let the Iggles play. I’ve only seen a few of the commercials.
I found the VW commercial to be stupid and offensive.
