That’s a funny joke that’s floated around in aviation for years. Unfortunately it is also a bit of a double entendre.

Force = mass times velocity.

Mass is mass, frozen or thawed.

Sure, but there is a big difference in whether you have an elastic collision or an inelastic one. fiber glass hitting something squishy goes boing. Fiberglass hitting something hard goes smash.
