If this was not meant to be taken literaly, disregard the following. The truth is that MetLife has no roof because the Giants and Jets did not want to pay for it. The funds to build the stadium was mostly from the football teams themselves, not the state. Since both teams sell out every game, why would they spend extra for the roof.
About Met Life..it was incredibly stupid..financially..NOT to enclose,kit..it could have become a HUGE convention/exposition center..used year round..more than covered the cost of the roof..
