Toilet paper is made from the most recyclable product on earth, i.e. pulp wood. A 100% natural and environmentally friendly product.

I'm sure that someone makes a brand that is unbleached and has a few cockle burrs in it, just to make the Greens feel good when they scratch themselves. But to give up TP altogether “for the environment” is just plain stupid.

People talk about "Computers", or "Airplanes", or "Medicine"....etc etc etc as being the hallmark of an advanced civilization.

I'd say the mark of an advanced civilzation is "Clean water, well-developed sanitation, and good hygiene". Because a high mortality rate from dysentry makes everything else pretty hard to achieve.

I remember toilet paper they had on the trains in Germany. I visited there in 1986. The paper was unbleached grey, and still had little bits of wood chips in it. I guess the chips were there for extra cleaning...
