"The Easybeats were an Australian rock band. They formed in Sydney in late 1964. They are regarded as the greatest Australian pop band of the 1960s, echoing The Beatles' success in Britain, and were the first Australian rock and roll act to score an international pop hit with their 1966 single "Friday on My Mind"....

It’s Saturday...
George Young went on to produce a number of albums for another Australian band, AC/DC, which was founded by his brothers Malcolm and Angus, and (it sez here) played bass in AC/DC for a short while. An older brother had a band called The Grapefruit.
It’s absolutely insane. I got some personalized M&Ms and everything.
Thanks, sent me on a youtube memory binge.
Too many Justin Bieber hairdoos in one place for my liking.
Memory lane... When I was a kid, a local radio station had a call-in question asking what ICBM meant; I was the first to call in with the correct answer, and I won a copy of this album. I can still hear that song in my mind, 50 years later. Thanks!
Is your Sister visiting?
That was when we were suckered into paying $29.99 to have a cup full of personalized M&Ms. Absolutely insane.
Fridays and Saturdays are totally different days.

Yeah...”I’m reminded of a time when teenagers, “muscle” cars, and a blood alcohol level of .014% was known as “Saturday Night, and the party’s just getting started”.....
I think that meant someone forgot to flush, juvenile I know but I couldn't resist.
He may not be a rock and roll act, but Rolf Harris made a huge score when his single Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport--which he recorded in 1960--finally crossed the Pacific. In the summer of 1963, everyone was playing it in juke boxes, singing it, making up new lyrics, etc.
Here's another tune that charted about the same time:
Its a Happening Thing--The Peanut Butter Conspiracy
The Woo Woo Train--The Valentines
You were probably a conservative at that time, or trending in that direction, since conservatives, being national security-minded, would have been more likely to know that acronym. On the other hand, liberals would have had the advantage had callers been asked to define UNEF or ACDA.
I love Friday on my Mind great song...
