We were just talking about that tune last week at band rehearsal. A lot of people think it was Chicago.

I would have said "Blood, Sweat & Tears" myself, the singer did kind of sound like David Clayton Thomas.

Either band is great, at least one other commenter on the Youtube version I watched said BS&T also.

Interesting, I didn’t think of them when I heard the song the first time. Admittedly my exposure to BST was a little later in life than AWB and Chicago.

The ‘wonder’ is that some of those songs were hits, like Seasons In The Sun, Timothy, What Does The Fox Say, etal.

I saw a few years back that he’s been living on a farm, in peace and quiet, from the royalties of that song. Good for him, says I.

Thought this was a cool song back in the 90s, at first I when I heard it I thought it was Todd Rundgren.

Just catching up...glad you’re enjoying the thread..the memories some of the title evoke is surprising. Laura Brannigan had a great set of pipes...I saw her in concert a few times..she died far too young..

Some of my favorites from those lists:

“Driver’s Seat” by Sniff N’ The Tears (1979)
“When The Heart Rules The Mind” by GTR (1986)
“Hangin’ On A Heart Attack” by Device (1986)

Also some others, mostly from the 70s through the 90s.

White Lion’s 1989 cover of “Radar Love” is quite good. It’s a great video too.

The band “Boston” had a one hit wonder album. They came out with a 2nd album and it sounded the same, basically droll by that time. “More than a feeling” is the best of those first album songs...

Thanks for clearing that up for me - I remember the tune and it was mingled with other memories, evidently from a whole other decade.
