She sounded exactly like studio Grace Slick.


No, she did not. She did sound pretty good, but she ruined many of the lines by singing them as if they were lyrics devoid of meaning. For that song, you have to be forceful, you have to be practically peering into the audience’s eyes, really showing them how they REALLY WANT somebody to love, and it should have a slightly malicious air to it. She did nothing subtle or connecting with it.

She just stands there and sings. She doesn’t feel the song or the audience. I’m taking maybe she just isn’t very smart. She is blowing this chance, and she has a fantastic voice. I’m sad for her.

Grace Slick was both a druggie and an alcoholic...likely she was high everytime she performed. That explains the “attitude” that comes across when she sang that song..and others..hard to replicate if you’re sober..
