I forgot to mention that Roku is also a radio: am and fm. You can tune in any genre, any station or radio channel that was made up by anybody any place. Sometimes, I turn on the tv to listen to music or talk radio.

I'm one year with Roku and the amount of content is daunting but you already know what you like and select those channels for free or subscription.

I was just on a Roku tv show and got a shout out on the same show for tweeting w/them during a live google hangout. How do you like them apples? I forgot to mention that above. It's difficult to get on cable or local tv unless you commit a crime or had a disaster.

Thank you, everyone, for letting me know about your Roku experience. I am always daunted by new technology, but I already have the internet and the WiFi, so I may try it.

Jonny, since your parents are about my age and they have no trouble using Roku, that is encouraging.

I miss Netflix and would like to get it back, esp. for the foreign films.
