I think this may very well be Belichick’s best coaching job in New England, yet....I don’t know how he managed to squeeze 12 wins out of that team, but I just don’t see them making it to the Super Bowl.

I totally agree. And IF they did make it to the SB, I don’t see them beating SEA (or SF or CAR).

I gotta say-regardless of how far they go, I sure have enjoyed watching the Pats play this year. They aren’t heads and shoulders above anyone, but damn, they sure do play with as much pluck as they can muster with the personnel they have.

Wilfork. Kelly. Mayo. Spikes. Gronkowski. Vollmer.

Gone.

But they keep playing hard.

You know who I think is going to be a real, honest to goodness superstar? Jaime Collins. Which is great, because I don’t think we will see Spikes again in a Patriots uniform.

I really have enjoyed it, but I admit, I would like seeing them blow someone out once in a while, but that definitely ain’t in their character this year.

I had them pegged to win 12 games this year in the regular season, and hit it right on the money. I didn’t think they would get the second seed, but they did.

I am always the eternal optimist...I always think they have a chance to win every game they play in, but the realist realizes that they can also lose nearly every game they play in.

They just continue to surprise me.
