Cats automatically align all vomiting with soft, expensive floorings and furniture. If they feel the need to puke, they will race across yards and yards of hardwood floor or stone tile to reach the soft expensive persian rug and then heave.

You have that pegged. I don't remember the number of times I would wake up to that (or my wife would punch me in the ribs) to hear "Burhgh, burhgh, burhgh," in the middle of the night.
