Supporting the Troops while trying to stay dry.
Yesterday was a strange day ... power outages and brown outs.
After power was supposedly restored, I could not get my computer to restart.
Don't have any idea what the problem was but last night,
I called Jr to see if he could help me but when I turned it on, it started right up.
I thanked Jr and he laughed since all he did was listen while I powered up. LOL
Wishing everyone a beautiful Friday and a Blessed Weekend.
More rain last night with more expected today.
I'm thankful for the rain!!!

Nice! Sorry about your computer problems. I had to have my hard drive replaced recently after years of problems. It finally died, but the store my husband took it to was able to order the part and replace it fairly quickly (four days?).

Thank you for spending time with us.
Sorry that I wasn't able to be here yesterday.
I loved the rain but the power outages and brown-outs were the pits!!!
We got almost 1/2 inch of rain last night. Thank you, Father.
This is not nearly enough to end the drought.
To do that, it would need to rain every day into April.
We are getting some much needed snow in the Sierras.
I have an appt with the CPA later this morning so I will be AWOL again today.
Hopefully next week will be less hectic.
Thank you for supporting our Troopes.
Happy Friday and a delightful weekend.

When I leave today, I will shut down my computer.
PG&E said to expect thunderstorms and power outages again today.
Four Days!!! My, I would be out looking at new computers. I was frantic yesterday with no internet.
Wishing you a beautiful Friday. Stay warm.
Hugs

Sunrise
March 1, 2014
Read: Exodus 3:1-12
There was a magnificent sunrise this morning, but I was too busy to enjoy it. I turned away and became preoccupied with other things. I thought about that sunrise a few moments ago, and I realize I lost an opportunity for worship this morning.
In the midst of the busyness and stresses of our days, there are patches of beauty all around us, glimpses of Gods goodness that we catch here and there along the way. These are the places in the walls of the universe where heaven is breaking throughif only we will take the time to stop and to reflect upon Gods love for us.
What if Moses had taken only a fleeting glance at the bush that was burning but was not consumed? (Ex. 3:2). What if he had ignored it and hurried on to other things? (He had those sheep to take care of, you know, and important work to do.) He would have missed an epic, life-changing encounter with the living God (vv.4-12).
Sometimes in life we must hurry. But overall, life should be less hurrying and more noticing. Life is the present. Life is being aware; it is seeing Gods love breaking through. It is turning aside to the miracle of something like a sunrise. Something transitory, yet symbolic of the eternity that awaits us.
Open my eyes, that I may see
Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me;
Place in my hands the wonderful key
That shall unclasp and set me free. Scott
Lord, open our eyes that we may see.

[Our front walk is covered in three inches of ice!]
When I was 9 or 10yrs old, we lived in St. Louis for a few years. I remember times I could ice skate on the street in front of our house, [it was a private subdivision]. I don’t think I could live in that kind of cold now. Be careful!!
