Turner Radio Network (TRN) has issued a report regarding Fukushima Diachi Nuclear Plant that is expected to affect the entire Northern Hemisphere. According to the report: Persons residing on the west coast of North America should IMMEDIATELY begin preparing for another possible onslaught of dangerous atmospheric radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster site in Japan. TEPCO has confirmed that via camera surveillance, that steam has begun to pour from Reactor 3, although they have not been identified abnormal plant conditions. TEPCO are reporting that radioactive steam has suddenly begun emanating from previously exploded nuclear reactor building #3 at the Fukuishima disaster site in Japan.
Uhmmm the large concrete domes that turned to dust with a bang might count as “blowing up”.
Radiation moves far and wide. Boise Idaho reported the highest levels of radioactive iodine in their rainwater (above food or water safety limits but rainwater doesn’t have a comparable limit). The EPA reported Cesium 137 detected in Vermont: http://www.infiniteunknown.net/2011/04/09/us-epa-finds-cesium-137-in-vermont-milk-radiation-detected-in-drinking-water-in-13-more-cities/
But you can keep your lunch - I don’t want it.
Since the prior link is to an unfamiliar site - I’ll post the link to FORBES here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffmcmahon/2011/04/09/radiation-detected-in-drinking-water-in-13-more-us-cities-cesium-137-in-vermont-milk/
The meltdown of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant is nearing its third anniversary and the disaster and radiation are still being felt around the globe, most recently in the North American west coast where the hit is being felt by Canadians, Mexicans and US citizens alike.
It is believed that an area of ocean as far as ten miles distant from the nuclear power plant was contaminated by the disaster in March of 2011. With ocean tides and sea life which is by no means confined to only miles within the ocean, that contamination was easily spread. It presents its most dangerous form in radioactive seafood and fish, which can be caught nearly anywhere and brought to the table in various countries. Surprisingly, seafood captured on the Pacific coast may be far more likely to contain radionuclides from the disaster than seafood from the Sea of Okhotsky, which is actually much closer to Japan. The world ocean currents are said to be responsible for this trend.
According to the Global Research Report, recent tests in California have unearthed contaminated blue-fin tuna in nearby coastal waters. It is believed that the contaminated water has finally reached the western coastline due to the growth of radioactive iodine levels which are now 200 times what they were two years ago. In addition, the caesium-137 level has also gone up along the California, Oregon and Washington coasts, discovered in local mushrooms and berries. Residents have also noted that the number of bird deaths has risen. In Alaska, the sockeye salmon population has declined apparently due to radionuclides as well.
Checking an entire catch of fish for radiation is nearly impossible according to the Eco-Protection International environmental group, which is what makes the hit of radiation contaminated water from Fukushima so dangerous for the US West Coast.
Japan has been feeling the radiation fears for nearly two years now in its fishing industry. South Korea banned Japanese seafood and fish imports in September, becoming the first country to do so but possibly not the last. Fish factories near the nuclear site must now measure for radiation, but still cannot convince the buying public that the fish are safe to eat, especially with some claiming that fish caught within 20 miles of the Fukushima power plant are mostly radiated and have to be dumped. Russia Today revealed that some of the fish said to be thrown away do actually make it to local fish markets, where they might be consumed, radiation and all.
Experts say that exposure to the radiation definitely can increase the probability of developing cancer, especially leukemia and thyroid cancer. Those who were exposed in Japan, especially children, have a higher risk. Anna Sablina, a cancer researcher at the University of Leuven, projected that some 5,000 children may develop thyroid cancer due to the accident.
The crew of the US Ronald Reagan, which was within ten miles of the Fukushima plant when the meltdown occurred, are also experiencing problems and are filing a lawsuit against the company that ran the nuclear power plant. In using ocean water they had desalted for cooking, some of the crew has gone blind as well as developed cancerous diseases.
While it is unlikely that any radiation from fish or water hitting the US West Coast will cause such dramatic effects, the danger and fallout of Fukushima will linger on. Consequences have not yet been fully vetted and it is unlikely the full effects will be known until many years to come.

It’s just a glitch. Like Obamacare.
More like the most under reported and lied about story in our lifetimes. Three reactors meltdown and escape their RPVs and some people wonder if any radiation reached the US ?
There have been recriticalities occurring every month or two. They are verfiable by sudden radiation spikes in city monitors around Japan. They typically occur after earthquakes. And there happened to be three moderate quakes in the area recently.
So you all should be worried all the time. Not when the conspiracy sites pick up on steam release. Steam has been released for over 2 years and counting. Steam is what you get when you are trying to flush three melted reactor cores out to sea.
Well said, ‘Hairyape.
We have 3 Core Meltdowns which are treated as if that occurrence is normal and is simply not a concern. If you don’t measure radioactive contamination or you measure it and don’t report it, does it exist? I’ve even seem some of the sociopaths saying “Look - three meltdowns happened and they are harmless! TOLD you nukes were safe!” Yup we’re downwind (and downstream) of 3 core meltdowns and not a care in the world! Noooooo... why would anyone be concerned??? Look how healthy the Ukraine is today!
Traces of radioactive waste from Fukushima detected in 15 out of 15 food fish tested in San Diego 6 months after the March of 2011? And they’ve been dumping a few hundred tons of radioactive waste into the ocean DAILY since the power plants failed - WHY would anyone think the concentration in food fish could possibly go up after 2 years of additional dumping? After 5, 10 or 20 years of continuous dumping? ..........
I think the website is
www.ki4u.com
You must have missed the video of the sailor setting off the radiation alarms on board the USS Ronald Reagan. He had just been ordered to retrieve the US ship flag as a gift to the Japanese.
The same Japanese who were venting 3 melting reactor cores. All the Japanese could was vent because every single one of their fail safes failed miserably.
knowing the sources of much of the original articles I found, that does not surprise me.
I do know we have the best read groups of people, educated, too, so, I posted to find out what people know.
It is too difficult to find a source that is trustworthy anymore, people or organizations that do not have an agenda or just sensationalize it all
But I am amazed at the people who think that what information was released should not be alarming, even if 10% of the radiation mentioned released into the oceans, this is a different level of contamination than a bomb, and in much more a concentration into a liquid source, this is something that is potentially of biblical proportions without too much exaggeration...
I keep thinking of revelation and the plagues and all living things in the seas dying...
With all the earth quakes in revelation, Island disappearing, I guess we know for sure what some of the sources of those deaths will be...
Radiation from reactors too close to the shore and Godzilla himself back from the dead :)

That’s the best reporting on Fukishima you’ll find.
Doesn’t mention what you posted about however.
Unlike the media -and the outright nutcase wbesites- they get accurate translations and they understand the technology.
Guess if the next report of a hurricane off the coast of Fla. comes from a liberal source, those Floridians should ignore it...
That crosses my mind (seas dying in Revelation, and plagues) when I read of a mysterious illness that is causing seastars to melt -turn to goo - in a matter of minutes. It’s been occurring up and down the west coast. Seals in the north covered with lesions. Whale pods falling silent (they normally vocalize) and odd migrations of animals turning up in locations unexpected (mostly whales). Well the climate people will call it global warming, the Harp conspiracy nuts will say it’s Harp, I wonder if it is radiation from Fukushima causing these physical and behavioral shifts. I wonder.
I hear things and wish that the nuclear industry had a conscience - it would sure help. I read of unusually high numbers of children with thyroid cancer in Fukushima but there are always obligatory posts decrying such information as “lies” and “fear mongering”. Well, given the radiation released and Japan’s directive to the affected areas NOT to release iodide to the populations, why wouldn’t there be rises in thyroid cancer? (one mayor defied the directive and distributed iodide anyway) This is reported from individual doctors because Japan has, for the last 2 years, refused to release medical data normally released and organized by prefecture. Wish those in control had a conscience...Now Japan has enacted a formal state secrecy law that will result in jail time if violated so they’ll have a much more successful run up to hosting the Olympics - no nasty health concerns popping up when one can go to jail for talking about it!
what do you think about this page?

seems the worse has not hit yet.
Fairly clear now what will destroy our civilization in the long run. And since the physics is universal, it is destroying every other civilization in the universe.
We are not gods and we are not meant to be gods.
At any rate, there are some simple observations one can make to determine if area is safe. Look at what happened in Japan early on. Also just spent some time on the west coast US. Other then seeing a couple of live ewoks and what appeared to be a Viking, there were some radiation clues.
Very low bird population. Could be from less reproduction, illness or the birds are just leaving the area.
Sky is not deep blue. Has a tint due to high altitude particles.
Small animals such as dogs and cats have heart maladies. Radioactive cesium.
Humans developing thyroid issues. Recriticalities ongoing.
Animals behave erratic. We had reports of that in the early Japan no go areas. Mental dysfunction is a symptom of radiation sickness. Causes people to claim exploding buildings are not a problem. lol

I like the PhysicsForum but just like any other website - you do have to look for ideology if nuke engineers are participating.I’ve seen some good debunking - for example, the talk show host who volunteered to inhale plutonium to prove it is safe - he was debunked via calculations on the physicsforum showing he’d die.
However, if those participating on a thread are nuke industry physicists, it is still necessary to use your judgement to try to weed out propaganda.
On FR, I’ve had nuclear engineers demand that I perform perform dosimetry calculations (and show my work)in order to prove that I am qualified to comment. Those nuclear engineers don’t realize that the calculations they use for dosimetry are irrelevant to medical health and actually provide invalid data. Even when they use such calculations to try to “prove” that radioactive potassium in bananas should concern us more than plutonium - the light just never goes on in their heads that maybe their formulas don’t measure what they think it measures.
Ruh-ROH!
There goes California!
Huge radiation spikes in Hawaii!
Hurry home, Barack and Michelle.
Nobody told you about it?
One more observation note. This one is kinda shakey with not much support yet. Needs more research.
Basically - Mole size inceases with radiation exposure.
Have one of those ball moles near my nose similar to that ball on Emperor Zeros magnificant nuclear supporting face.
Keep mine small and flat by using anti bacterial ointment occasionally. Please no one tell Obama that.
My mole trippled in size within a few days on the west coast. It also became irritated.
The only reason I mention this is a report from a Japanese refuge family claimed their moles shrunk once they left east Japan.
