Merry Christmas Eve! It’s been nonstop here, from the store runs and baking this am to the wrapping all afternoon. My melted snowmen cookies came out pretty cute, for a first time effort. Also, I highly recommend the candy cane Hershey kisses this year for cookie toppers.

Omigosh, I could actually hear the nasal intoning whine.

Best price on the Dragon software was Amazon.com-I went there to order a book I have that my compadre wants, so I just added the other...

I wrapped a few things today. That’s all.

My wife is making some pasta sauce with sweet Italian sausage right now.

We’ll hit Midnight Mass tonight. We have just the slightest bit of snow on the ground.

I’m eating crab salad for dinner-I’ve been jamming for a couple of hours while I’m writing poetry and notes-I’m listening to Led Zeppelin now, but I started with Creedence Clearwater, then Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Brothers, and so it goes...

We have pizza every Christmas Eve. I know most people do something Italian for it. Ham tomorrow from the Honeybaked store. We’ve tried other brands and stores but they are not the same. Now back to the Dr. Who marathon!

Are you having tamales? That is what the spouse misses most about SA, the Christmas handmade tamales.

Have your chickens slowed down on egg production with the cold weather? I only had one egg yesterday, and they average two a day. I am cracking my friends up with my chickie stories.

Aaaaaagh-no! I’ve already set out The Knack, then “The Wall” for next-

I’d forgot how much I like this song...

“The man from the magazine said I was on my way.
Somewhere I lost connections, ran out of songs to play.
I came into town, a one night stand, looks like my plans fell through
Oh ! Lord, stuck in Lodi again.

If I only had a dollar, for every song I’ve sung.
And every time I’ve had to play while people sat there drunk.
You know, I’d catch the next train back to where I live.
Oh ! Lord, I’m stuck in Lodi again.
Oh ! Lord, I’m stuck in Lodi again”...

It is just happenstance, not tradition, that we are having some pasta tonight. I wanted some since there are no Italian restaurants in North Dakota.

Tomorrow it is ham, of course. My wife’s dad will cook a huge one and throw some kielbasa to swim in the ginger ale/cherry juice/brown sugar.

They slowed a bit, but not a lot. A few have stopped but most are still going. We had a wee tiny egg today. We’re thinking it’s one of them re-starting.

I haven’t had tamales at Christmas in a long time-MrT5 wasn’t very fond of them...

The people across the road bought their 2 horses a couple of those huge exercise balls today-the horses are a riot to watch, pitching, chasing and kicking those balls around the whole front of the property...
