I grew up on raw milk too. That is, until another farmer in the area found that a few of his cows had “bangs”.

My dad went out and bought a home pasteurizer, and that ended my enjoyment of milk.

Pasteurized milk had a “burnt rubber” aftertaste to me, so I quit drinking it then and there.

Why on earth does the .gov think farmers are too stupid to make sure their cows are healthy? The farmers, particularly the small farmers are very careful about the health of their animals - their lives and livelihood depend on it.

And, in rural farming communities, they value their reputations.

I drank milk from the cow too. People don’t realize when they pasteurize milk, they kill off the good in it too. Raw milk is the best for you, despite what any nanny state people might say.

Here in S. Central PA we had several hundred people get sick this summer from raw milk that came from a well established dairy.
