“Superbug bacteria widespread in US chicken, consumer group finds”
Here’s a tip: Cook the chicken before you eat it.
Pork used to have trichinosis, cooking resolved the issue but it’s still a good idea to cook pork.
Another tip: rinse the meat first, shake dry for a bit, then paint with a small nylon brush quite thoroughly with vineger. You can dilute the vinegar if you wish, but I have found that full strength works best and only takes a small amount. Wait for a bit then sprinkle lightly with fine-grain salt and allow to dry for a bit (depending upon how deep you wish the mixture to soak into the crevices and pores. Rinse quickly and immediately throw into the pan, pot, or oven and cook as you normally would. Works extremely well, and kills pretty much anything vile on the meat since vinegar and salt are not tolerated at all by any unwanted contaminants.
On a totally separate topic, I know of a very good home remedy for athlete's foot, although I probably should not mention that in the same thread as a 'cooking' post.
