Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson and his family believe they have been ‘hung out to dry’ by TV network A&E after he was suspended for homophobic comments made in a magazine interview, MailOnline can reveal.

Sources within the close-knit Louisiana clan say they are convinced A&E are manipulating the controversial situation to bring them – and particularly Robertson – back into line after Television executives grew tired of the family pushing their deeply-held, Christian beliefs.

They also think the network could have done something to stop the controversial GQ article being made public, because an A&E representative was present during the interview with patriarch, Roberston, 67.

You are right...A&E IS making a killing on the sales of DD merchandise...that is why people are being encouraged to purchase items from Dock Commander, NOT DD. Canceling cable is the only OTHER way to directly affect A&E’s bottom line.

It is our understanding that when the TV executives came up with the concept for the show they wanted it to be a case of people laughing at a bunch of backward rednecks. ‘But when it didn’t turn out like that and people actually started identifying with the way the family behaved and were laughing with them, not at them, they became uncomfortable. I live rurally and cable/satellite is unreliable. My phone company has no relationship with TV. They only do phones. And I have DSL.

The only time that I'm on FR everyday is when I work on the FReepathon.

Again, regardless of my internet usage I WILL continue to criticize libs and their control of television.

My question is not A&E benefiting, but how does canceling my cable hurt them? I don’t watch reality TV and I never watch anything on A&E, so canceling my cable sends what message?

Actually it has been over 6 years since I stopped receiving ANY outside TV in my home. The vast majority of it is trash and I do not need it in my home.

I decide what comes in. And by cancelling outside TV, I also do not support the evil that is presented as ‘modern programming’.

This is not about Phil it is about the 'Bible' and trying to make it hate speech....period. The very foundation our freedoms were founded on they are trying to make hate speech.

Sorry, I stand with Phil over what liberals are doing to our society and forcing on Christians.
