Full Title: EXCLUSIVE - 'Hung out to dry': Duck Dynasty star and family hit out at A&E for letting his controversial interview go public and for suspending him for homophobic comments
Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson and his family believe they have been hung out to dry by TV network A&E after he was suspended for homophobic comments made in a magazine interview, MailOnline can reveal.
Sources within the close-knit Louisiana clan say they are convinced A&E are manipulating the controversial situation to bring them and particularly Robertson back into line after Television executives grew tired of the family pushing their deeply-held, Christian beliefs.
They also think the network could have done something to stop the controversial GQ article being made public, because an A&E representative was present during the interview with patriarch, Roberston, 67.

It is possible to have internet without the cable. I use dsl thru ATT.
No cable or TV company support
Did it a long time ago.
I am sure that everyone canceling their cable will send a message. They will understand why and then A$E will die.
How about we boycott the advertisers? But then that does not work either. Look at Rush Limbaugh. A&E survived before DD and they will survive after they leave the network. ALL reality shows come to an end sometimes, but the branding will live on regardless. A$E knows this and they will cash in during this Christmas season.
I choose who I do business with, but the ones I do not do business with do not even know why I am shopping elsewhere. Yes i told them once, but i do not tell them everytime i shop at one of their competitors. Penny’s, Home Depot, etc. etc. plus recently added Cracker Barrel boycott.
And if he did make such comments on the show, they would be edited out. What’s funny is A&E think they can control the Robertson’s behavior like they do they Republicans in congress. Call them racists and homophobes and they’ll toe the line. I get the distinct feeling that name calling will have little or no effect on Phil. He doesn’t care what other people think. He is a man of his convictions.
I pray that those convictions run deep in the rest of the family. It would be funny to see a revival started by some guys that make duck calls, bite heads off of snakes, and ask for blessings on their meals in Jesus’ name. I’m good with it!
No, even the family statement in response agreed that Phil’s statement was ‘coarse’. You can state your beliefs in a kind way, or you can say it ‘another’ way.
homophobic? did not sound like he fears the queers does it?
I would call it following his religious beliefs.
Had an Islamicist said that on his ‘reality’ show (as homosexuality is condemned by this so called religion), he would get a free pass from the media, and the left in general.....
For me, this is about someone that told a Scriptural truth and is being condemned for it. America has fallen a long way and I think truth is worth fighting for. :-)
Oh my. Coarseness is required in this. This perversion has been couched in softness for too long and now it is powerful because of it. Call it what it is.
It is not a ‘gay’ activity, it is homosexuality.
It is not mutual love and respect, it is perversion, and abominal lust.
It is leaving the natural use of the body for nastiness that even strays into dangerland.
It is not right, it preys on children for the express purpose of ‘procreating’ their own ‘kind’. It is the only way they have to procreate - by warping another person.
Boy, you got jumped on for making a fair comment. But, lots of us are unable to cancel. I would, but we have not had a television in the house since 1995.
We are not alone.

Who is he to scold anyone? That’s what Israel said about all of their prophets.
William Pitt? Is that you? I think I recognize your conversation technique.
Many thanks to Phil Robertson for boldly professing his faith; for exposing the Nazi-like tactics and attitudes of the GAYstapo (c) and the proponents of the phony “LGBT community”; for not being silenced by political correctness; and for making the obvious (but for some bizarre reason controversial) observation that the male anus is not the equivalent of female reproductive organ. I think the last point — his “graphic” language — is what is driving the GAYstapo (c) and the elites nuts. It is easy for them to be dismissive of the Bible and to lecture others about privacy and marriage “equality” but there is no getting around the fact that gay sex is not a true sexual union but merely a form of sexual stimulation.
My reply is not BS. And you cannot silence others when you dislike them telling the truth. This is not a liberal forum. You post, people answer. How you deal with that is your choice but telling someone to “shut up” isn’t an option. Not on FR.
I can’t cancel my cable or satellite teevee service because I haven’t had either one for about 7 years now.
Best decision I ever made.
Didn’t matter how he said it. Anything but outright support for homosexuality would be punished.
Do you think that the publicist for A&E who arranged and accompanied Phil to that interview at GQ got a publicist copy of that interview before it went to print????
You know... in light of the statement issued by A&E and their enthusiastic support of the homosexual agenda.... I’m not sure why the Robertson family would want to be in business with them going forward with or without Phil. Time to move on in my opinion.
yup
Well said. It ain’t “Green Acres”.
