Here in MA I the late eighties one of these giant boring machines got stuck I would say around 100 feet from my grandmothers front door.
If the drill didn’t get stuck we would have never known about the giant tunnel deep below our street.
The worker’s couldn’t “un-stick” the drill so thye had to close down the street for Many months and dig a GIANT hole to pull it up.
Man, Was That hole was DEEP....
Pretty cool. Kids with big toys. Seems like it would take a train to unstuck/unstick[?] it. I think I need a train sometimes with my ford.
