Hundreds of years ago, Vikings lived in thriving communities in Greenland. When it cooled off they eventually just about died out.

Eric the Red brought the first settlers to Greenland in the year 986. The colony collapsed in about 1400.

Hundreds of years ago, Vikings lived in thriving communities in Greenland.True. Also, early explorers to the new world, Jacques Cartier for instance, wrote in their journals (back in 1534) about finding grape vines in areas near the mouth of the St. Lawrence River where they don't exist naturally today.
