Soliciting advice from experts, aka, freepers in general. Subject: Hunting property security. I am looking for advice from experts here concerning some type of wireless camera, both indoor and outdoor, to provide real time observation to a remote computer, cell phone, and ipad. My goal is to see what is going at a property located a hundred miles away. I have internet service to the property but I need a way to observe what is going on inside the living area and outside. Is there a reliable wireless system out there that a freeper can recommend?
bump home security
I have a friend with a situation similar to yours. He and his wife own 250 acres two states away. He got to know the local cops and ended up getting one to check on his property on a regular basis when he was off duty. He even gave him a key to the gate at the end of his driveway.
Once the locals knew that there was “one of their buddies” looking after the property, all the issues stopped.
IP camera plus wireless alarm system with GSM, that’s my recommendation.
Now you can find this kind of system from this webpage:

Working theory, using your smartphone to monitor your property real time. When alarm is triggered, you will get notified with phone call, also text message (SMS), you will receive the snapshots from IP camera to verify alarm.
Btw, the system requires a SIM card to run.
