Looks like a normal cross wind landing to me. Did a bunch of them in a Cessna 152 out of Hooks Airport in Spring, TX. It’s wild your first time and feels totally unnatural but definitely nothing unusual.

Agreed. Not sure the pilot “botched” it. I once was on a flight from Toronto to Bermuda and after a couple of cracks at it the pilot turned around and we went back to Toronto to refuel and recrew.
It happens. This spring I was flying my 172 from KTMB to 1B1 and I had to refuel at a different airport on the way, and ultimately ended my trip at KPOU instead of 1B1.
I heard they had 90 mph winds in the UK this week so it wouldn’t be surprising to see crooked landings, go-arounds, and diversions.
