Thanks for posting. How regrettable. The US won’t advance out of their bracket. Sad.
US in a group of Death. Argentina has the best draw of all.
USA has a tough draw but I feel sorry for the Ticos too.
Brutal, brutal, brutal draw for Sam’s Army.
Naturally, France gets off easy. Who knew.
We’ve beaten Portugal before.
Ghana again!
Heck, the Socceroos are in a bind too.
Geez, who have the Swiss been paying off?
Their qualifying group was ridiculous, and their WC group is just as ridiculous.
Well the Mexicans won’t be in Brasil too long either...
I’d rather play in our group than take the place of the Ticos or the Socceroos. I think we can get revenge against Ghana and Portugal isn’t the powerhouse that some make them out to be. Sure, they are good but not great. As for Germany, well, we’ll see how far the USMNT has come.
Now I’m even more pissed we let Mexico off the hook.
Agreed. The weak sister group.
Klinsi will certainly give us a chance against the Germans because of his familiarity. I think we could possibly get at least a tie against them. But we MUST beat Ghana this time to have any chance of getting out of the group.
I like your optimism, not sure I share it, but I like it.
All the Mexicans have to do is beat out Croatia and Cameroon. Not the most Herculean of tasks.
We beat Germany too in a friendly if I am not mistaken.
Ghana has the Boateng brother. Otherwise known as The Evil Boateng for seriously injuring Ballack.
Well, unless the Mexican team has turned around I'd say they will have their hands full with the Croates and maybe even Cameroon.
Your point about Klinsmann and the Germans is a good one, hope that's enough. I think the Germans could go very far in 2014.
Should have beaten Germany in the 2002 quarters, even the Germans said the US outplayed them.
If Luis Suarez can keep his mouth shut (literally), Uruguay could be very dangerous.
If you go by history, a European team has never won the Cup in a WC held outside of Europe.
So I think the favorites are: Brazil, Argentina or Uruguay.
But if you are looking for a darkhorse from Europe, Belgium could be very dangerous.
