I watched half of it with the family. Then it was bed time.

I watched the first hour with my daughters and then they went off to bed...hopefully they will replay it not on a a school night.
Last Thursday evening NBC did a one hour promo show with the auditions of the Von Trapp children, none of which were professional actors.
Carrie did a nice job singing and talking without a “country accent”.

We got the VHS version, the 8mm Sony version, the DVD version and my wife has watched it so often, I can almost recite the dialogue from memory, just from paying partial attention.
It is a great movie, for sure. But it is a sad commentary on our culture that little of even nearly equal value has been produced in the almost 50 years since it has been made.

This was the first time I ever watched the movie....only because I’m a Carrie Underwood fan. I even have the DVD but never watched it..and i’m old! I thought she did a great job...she’s not an actress...but she kept my interest in the movie...
