Easy answer...Hitler disarmed them. THEY allowed Hitler to disarm them.
Obama and the Liberals (Leftists) know this is absolutely necessary to follow Hitler’s path...the path they want to follow. It is up to all of us to prevent this from happening.
I’ve sat around in Germany for twenty-odd years....so I’ve had time to observe Germans and walk through the 1920-1930 era in terms of events and reactions.
Hitler comes with three interesting attachments.
First, he was a war vet, and this was a big deal with any German in the late 1800s, and it was especially true in the 1920s. The minute you were noted with any medal or any honor....it got you a special status in being accepted by the public.
Second, in the late 1920s....came radio, which helped to pump his message across the country. In the 1930s, came cinema and gimmick Nazi-theme public media episodes. Across the nation, everyone saw positives in the media and on the screen. There was no Fox News in 1936 in Germany.
Third and final...folks continue to hear constantly of how Hitler took away the weapons. Well...it’s mostly slanted history. Fear of a Nazi coup....before they came to power...pushed the legit government into gun control. They already had effective anti-gun rules in place....before Hitler arrives to the leadership role. Hitler simply tightens them up a notch or two.
After WW I and the imposed peace treaty...Germany was a miserable place for several years. Most every single German suffered to some degree. A lot of German men didn’t return from war. It was bad times. So when the positive theme of Nazism came around, it was a relatively easy sell to feel good about politics, Nazi leadership, and Hitler’s message. If you notice...by the late 1930s...Germany was just about to enter a recession from all of their gov’t spending programs. Without the war, Hitler’s message by 1942 would have come to a conclusion because of serious economic issues. The war simply kept him afloat.
No that this too simple an answer. It happened long before the guns were taken away. I see it happening in America now. Those on the right who won’t vote because ‘the parties are all the same’. Those who say let the dens win and when they totally screw it up then we will be able to elect conservatives. You still have you guns but Ocare is starting to lock us into government control of everything. The guns will be the last thing to go. Executive orders galore, unconstitutional peer grabs, EPA rulings that are insane….. the congress has Harry Reid (a Brownshirt if there ever was one) to block all efforts at stoping it.
NOW is the time we MUST elect more folks like Ted Cruz….and Rand Paul. We need people of courage and conviction
