“Dad, if God favors Alabama so much, why did he make sunsets orange?”

When I lived in Alabama, a farmer friend of mine advised his son, upon graduating high school, "Son, if you want to go to Auburn and become a farmer...or an engineer of some sort...I'll pay every cent."

But, if you want to go to Tuscaloosa and become a lawyer, a politician...or some other kind of parasite...you're on your own."
