I defrosted the garage freezer. Once the ice-sheets were slightly melted, I tapped them gently with a large mallet, and they broke into chunks. Then I gathered the chunks in bags and dumped them out in the yard to melt.
By the time we get back from the tree-viewing, all I’ll need to do is give it a spritz with disinfectant, sop up a few ounces of water (instead of gallons), plug it in, and we’ll be back in the freezering business by bedtime.
I will need to defrost my freezer as well, but it has a drain, so I just put a pan in front of if. I mean, 5.cu ft, how much ice can accumulate?
Still, it’s a job I don’t relish, as I need to bend over to do it.
I will be making lasagna in a while. Not that I want to, as I want to put up the Christmas decorations. I got most of them out, but need more room for the boxes of Nativities. And I have a dilemma...do I hang a wreath on the door that matches the tree, or do I hang up the skates I painted last year?...decisions, decisions...
