Whatever provides you with an excuse to drink.

Only if it’s an interior design consulting gig.

Happy Saturday. The soldering-of-microprocessors event ran until ONE A.M. this morning! When I called at 11:00 to see if they were ever coming home, they were just shooting off rockets. It’s a good thing we’d already said Pat couldn’t go on an overnight with the Boy Scouts tonight. He might not be able to get up to work at the Senior Citizens’ Christmas party. They have to leave by 8:00.

I saw a wave-solderer in action once. The whole circuit board would pass over a fountain of solder, and be soldered all at once. It seemed pretty efficient, but I don’t think the EPA would approve of such exposure now.

Fascinating.

Pat was, in fact, the first child to get up. I guess he was hungry. Off they went - Tom, Elen, and Pat - to work at the seniors’ luncheon. The rest of us are going to the hospital in a bit to see the Christmas trees display.

50 and a whooshy north wind with rain. DP went to Walmart for some stuff, and I’m going to make Second Breakfast for the remaining byos and me.

That kitteh has MY vote for sure!

It’s 37 degrees out, right now, and I sure miss the heat of summer. *sigh*

I’m really hoping that I feel well enough to set the tree up in the next day or two. I’m anxious to have it look a lot like Chirstmas. ;o]

Pat’s alter ego can do marvelous things, once his persona is invisible.

It sounds like a busy Saturday.

The forecast for today is rain and snow mix. *sigh* I don’t want to go anywhere!

I defrosted the garage freezer. Once the ice-sheets were slightly melted, I tapped them gently with a large mallet, and they broke into chunks. Then I gathered the chunks in bags and dumped them out in the yard to melt.

By the time we get back from the tree-viewing, all I’ll need to do is give it a spritz with disinfectant, sop up a few ounces of water (instead of gallons), plug it in, and we’ll be back in the freezering business by bedtime.

I will need to defrost my freezer as well, but it has a drain, so I just put a pan in front of if. I mean, 5.cu ft, how much ice can accumulate?

Still, it’s a job I don’t relish, as I need to bend over to do it.

I will be making lasagna in a while. Not that I want to, as I want to put up the Christmas decorations. I got most of them out, but need more room for the boxes of Nativities. And I have a dilemma...do I hang a wreath on the door that matches the tree, or do I hang up the skates I painted last year?...decisions, decisions...

I feel as though I’ve been listening to Bob Newhart on a one-sided telephone conversation.

Except that it isn’t amusing.
