We’ve got freezing rain and icing conditions on the roads in the Austin TX area. Not fit for man nor beast out there!

I live in lake effect snow country and am no stranger to either lake-effect or nor-easters. We get one from one direction and the other from the other direction.
So snow doesn’t faze me.
Ice, on the other hand........
Safe to say, I’m glad I’m all stocked up for a while.
I am not where I want to be supply-wise for the winter, but I can get through this without blinking. Or at least not running to the store in a panic as if it’s TEOTWAWKI.
(You’d think people born and raised in NYS (snow country) would know better by the time they’re adults. Watch the weather forecast and keep an eye on your pantry and fridge.)

Makes me wonder what conditions are going to be for the Macy’s T-Day Parade. Santa might just need to be wearing a rain slicker over his red suit.

Or the check out line a Wally World, which under these condidtions would be pretty much the same thing!

By the way there are only three count the THREE Star Wars movies!
I bet metmom knows how to cut open a Wampa shelter inside of it and then turn it into an elegant and delicious breakfast the next morning!

I am not where I want to be supply-wise for the winter, but I can get through this without blinking. No kidding. This storm started out here in California last Friday where we got quite a dumping of snow, before moving east and it was no big deal for us here in snow country.

I spent two weeks in DC during the winter but it wasn’t snowing then. I left just before a snowstorm showed up and closed DC down. But it was plenty cold for me.

I think (and hope) that Thanksgiving day will be OK. My daughter & family have to drive up to NJ from MD, but I’m telling her to just leave Thursday morning. NO WAY is she to drive here in some big old storm. Worse comes to worst we’ll have Thanksgiving on Friday, that’s what I figure.

LOL! If I see you in the check out line at Wally World, then I’ll buy you a pumpkin pie in the spirit of Thanksgiving. :)
To: Redcitizen
If you see me in a checkout line a Wally World with a storm coming we will both be wanting some cold so skip the pie and bring on the ice cream!
