Actually I see Muschamp’s genius there.....have two guys on the same team block each, this causes the defensive players to stop and go “WTF?” while the running back goes on and scores. BRILLIANT!

Amen to all of that, and your tagline too.

And! - How in the heck can HE tell US to “get a grip”, with a straight face!

Been a Gator darn near 40 years. Sat through rain games against Rice, and every game of Charlie Pell’s 0-10-1 season. Lived and laughed through it because it was a very different time. Thankfully, The Evil Genius changed everything, grins.

But again, it is a different time, and thanks to 0bama, folks are voting with their wallets, and are questioning shelling out the unbelievable amount of money those tickets cost, not to mention making the trek : o to watch him destroy the program.

If they keep him on, I think it is going to cost them in ways they never imagined : /

Shakes head.

My response to Muschamp....."Grip This! And get your a$$ back the Athens where it belongs."

At least in 79, you knew things would get better, and they did (Lindsay Scott, notwithstanding).

Muschamp is a classic example of the Peter Principle applied to college football. He's a genius as a defensive coordinator, but he's not cut out to be a head coach. Period!

And to think that Texas was feeling sad when he left....because he didn't want to do a reprise of the Bobby Bowden/Jimbo Fisher dance and wait for Mack Brown to retire..a

FYI...several papers in Florida reporting today that Muschamp will be back next year, but most of his coaching staff is toast.

The injuries this year were brutal, and hurt, but it was obcious to most that Driskoll wasn't a passing QB..so they were doomed from the start of the season. Their god awful effort last year in the Sugar Bowl was prophetic...we just didn't recognize it.

Question for the group. Why is it that MSU gets like ZERO respect. Everyone assumes that OSU will just win the conference title..I think the Buckeyes can be had..

I go back to last year’s Louisiana-Lafayette game. That was it for me....The 11-2 record was a mirage......Only because the SEC East stunk so much last year, LSU was down, and we caught Manziel in his first big game. Louisville exposed that team for the frauds they were, and it carried over to this year.

I am a USC football fan, I didn’t go there, but lived in LA a few years...Carson Palmer - Matt Leinert days...

I am glad Kiffin is done.

Why, does he have such a good reputation as a DC? All I ever saw of him is the ability to jump around and curse after somebody makes a good play, that’s how he got the nickname “Boom!”

The injuries this year were brutal, and hurt

Georgia Southern had 19 Scholarship players out with injuries for that game.

Injuries?!?!?

Excuses are for losers...good coaches overcome injuries.

Longhorn defense was pretty good when he was there.

Lol!!! We were in Tampa after DH graduated, and were watching that one on TV.... That day I learned NEVER to jump around celebrating until the final whistle has blown ;)

But indeed - you hit the nail smack on the head. The program has grown SO much, and we understand that we can’t be a National Champion every year, laughs, heck I don’t really care, but we darn straight better be SEC champs ;) and if not, it is because the whole conference is just that good.

Really cannot believe they are sticking with this one : /
Take care FRiend, and may God bless,
Tatt

All I ask is to not lose to a lower division team ON OUR HOME FIELD! Is that too much to ask?

Seriously, how did you guys lose to Florida?

Well, at least there’s a pretty good chance the streak ends next season.

Well shoot! If he is such a great defensive guy, why is our defense the worst it has EVER been : / As mentioned before, we are ooollllddd Gators, and remember quite well when the only games we won were thanks to the Defense lol :)

And the injuries....well, Georgia Southern lost 18 to injuries coming into the Swamp on Saturday, and THEY certainly found a way to adjust : |

What a mess, and apparently no one willing to do what needs to be done to begin clean up... sounds kinda like the general state of affairs all over doesn’t it FRiend : /

It’s a revoltin’ development for certain.

how did you guys lose to Florida?

iirc, our qb was ineffective. You were a better team earlier and we began as a not good team and have pretty much maintained.

Plus, we have a history of knocking out opponents qb and then making his replacement look like Heisman.
