Interesting. The graphs show that even before legalized abortion as birth control, women were *not* dropping like flies from abortion, as the propaganda would have us believe.

One important omission in that list of reasons women choose to have an abortion is the number of women who choose not to use contraceptives because they know that they can easily have an abortion. Most women who have abortions do so because they did nothing to prevent pregnancy. Whatever excuse they give to justify snuffing a life afterwards is irrelevant. The real question is why did they choose to get pregnant when they had no intention of having a living baby?

I'm afraid you are right. A lot of abortions are the result of callous disregard.

The graphs show that even before legalized abortion as birth control, women were *not* dropping like flies from abortion, as the propaganda would have us believe.

They deliberately point to statistics from the pre-anti-biotic era to show numbers which seem high now. Most of us born post-WWII don't really appreciate how dangerous any injury could be before those miracle drugs, sterile surgical procedures and other 20th Century medical advances came to be.

They kept deaths, amputations and other complications down from what they could have been through great effort and attention in those days. In comparison it is very easy now to give an anti-biotic shot to someone with an injury or having surgery and nearly forget about infection.
