Absolutely NO, NO, NO, I know kitties LOVE to go outside, if you LOVE your kitty KEEP him, or her in the house!!!! Kitties get eaten by prey, they
can be run over by cars, and can also get into very bad kitty fights, if you
LOVE your kitty KEEP him or her in the house make sure you have a kitty
condo, lots of toys (you play with kitty routinely) and possibly a kitty friend
if possible! I am a huge kitty person, their instinct is to be outside they are
hunters, however they adapt VERY easily to being in the home! ALWAYS
keep them safe!
If it gets killed, just get a new one
Cats are natural born killers. All my cats have been outdoor cats. Sometimes they don’t come back. My current cat is the most effective killing machine you can imagine. He brings in animals that are almost as big as he is and he guts them on the stair landing.
He’s pushing 15 years old. I’m waiting for him to drag a coyote through the cat door. When he was a kitten he used to torment our next door neighbor’s pit bull. Sometimes he lays on the stairs at night and tries to make me fall down the stairs. He usually moves if I step on him.
He has outlived every cat on our block, including all the declawed indoor sissies that have died of boredom.
I agree with you...Would NEVER let them run loose...we have a roof-covered screen-in porch and a kitty stroller for big adventures...When I yell out..”who wants to go bye bye”...they come running and jump right in - our two little guys just LOVE their buggy rides -have been doing it for 8 years so all the neighbors are used to it.
Survival of the fittest, nature isn’t a kind thing. I always had let my cats out. I had to shoot them though, they were attacking my son for the third and last time. I tried humane society and advertised to give way free, but no takers. Now I just stick with the blue tick and black and tan coonhounds.
