I was diagnosed when I was in college when I was 20. It’s much easier to manage now than it was over 15 years ago. Labels are much better, and thankfully most items list allergens in the food. Also, better restaurants are aware of it and can substitute around it.

I just hate that cutting out gluten has become a trendy thing to do.

I remember the days, *years* after the diagnosis, when I found out I could eat Fritos, then Pepsi, and then Snickers!

For a long time I ate mostly raisins, canned peaches, and scrambled eggs. It was scary to take too many risks.
