“Rod Blagojevich (sp?) remains in prison for at least another 14 or 15 years.”

Actually, Blago is up for his court appeal next month. It goes before the Judge and if he wins the appeal he gets a new trial, if the prosecutor decides to do another trial all over. If not, he’s free. Will be interesting to see what happens here.

Yep, that's right. I heard that this past week and forgot about it.

Given Judge Zagel's excellent track record, the likelihood of Blago getting a new trial is somewhere between slim and none. I think he loses the appeal.

Having said that, I'll simply reiterate what I said above: Blago's a blow-hard. He committed no crime. The charge by former special prosecutor Fitzgerald was that his office "stopped a crime in progress."

Before I continue on, I think Blago's a piece of shat. I really do. Literally destroyed this state. However he committed no crime. He certainly committed no crime worse than any other Illinois Democrat (and many Illinois Republican's) do every single day.

If Blago remains in jail, then I'd argue Madigan, Cullerton and a whole lot more need to go there with him!
