Except for a handful of extremely isolated populations, very few of us are pure anything. Even a casual reading of world history reveals why--people travel, often to places you might think unlikely, and they leave their DNA behind.
For many white people whose families lived in the south for a very long time, having some Indian ancestors is commonplace, just as one example.
Devotees of "race purity"--white and black--are likely in for surprises if they take a close look at their DNA.
Fortunately for the rest of us, we are so much more than our pedigrees.

The Objiway tribe in particular seems to have a very large proportion of European heritage, and that heritage is prehistoric. It isn’t stray French trappers, but Europeans who crossed a land bridge some thousands of years ago.
