Central Pennsylvania is something like 0.001% black.
Who do ya THINK is doing all of the farming out there?
I worked in construction in a rural ski area. Many of the construction people came from the big city for the work, but there were no blacks among them. My theory? Big cities are good for ‘shopping,’ safe, great government-dependency distribution centers. Once in a great while we’d get a construction clean-up crew in, up from the city. There was a lot of fear in that group - fear of the dogs on the site, fear of the weather, discomfort with the tasks.
This article is hooey. ‘Trade unions keep blacks out.” whine, waaaah. So tired of the whining and complaining.
lol Are you bringing logic to a sh*t throwing contest?
he forgot to mention, chairman of the federal reserve, Hollywood producers and new York money mangers. they’re minority to be sure, but white.
most of those jobs require one of two things, sometimes both....long academic study OR long, hard hours ...I should add a third....work that requires working with the public and knowing how to get along....
The Amish, but not the kind we talk about on FR?
In the north states and especially the upper Midwest, it's very rare to see a black farmer. One big reason is that outside the big cities, many parts of the upper Midwest have little or no black populations. I live in an area surrounded by farms. (My property borders one) I've never seen a black farmer.
