NM MAN REALLY HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS IN FOR AFTER COPS PULLED HIM OVER FOR NOT USING HIS BLINKER
The Blaze ^ | 6 Nov 2013 | Jason Howerton

A man in New Mexico was pulled over by police for a minor traffic violation. When officers said a K-9 unit sniffed drugs on the driver’s seat, the officers forced the man to undergo invasive medical procedures, including an anal exam.

It may sound nearly identical to David Eckert’s nightmarish story as reported by TheBlaze Tuesday, but this is an entirely different incident.

It does, however, involve the same uncertified drug-sniffing dog in New Mexico. The dog’s name is Leo.

Police in Lordsburg, N.M., pulled over Timothy Young for allegedly turning without using his blinker, according to police reports. Though it is unclear why, the officers with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department suspected the driver of possessing drugs, KOB-TV reported.

The incident occurred Oct. 13, 2012, according to the timestamp on the police car’s dashcam video. Just like in Eckert’s case, Leo the K-9 alerted officers to possible drugs on Young’s seat, the report said.

Armed with what police said was probable cause and a search warrant, officers took Young to the Gila Medical Center in Silver City, N.M. The name of the hospital may sound familiar because it’s the exact same hospital Eckert was taken for the invasive hunt for drugs in his body that lasted more than 12 hours.

Young was then reportedly subjected to X-rays and an anal exam. They found no drugs.

Young, just like Eckert, says he did not consent to any of the procedures, which were performed in a county not covered by the search warrant obtained by police.

The similarities between the two cases go on and on. Now, KOB-TV is reporting that Leo the K-9 “seems to get it wrong pretty often.” As it turns out, the K-9 is not even currently certified in the state of New Mexico.

I dont care how many arrests he had. He should never had been put through this. He was a free man, had no warrants, he did nothing wrong, they found nothing and he will be a very rich man.
The cops need to be fired and the doctors made into paupers.

Unbelievable. And after a federal suit was filed yesterday against the police for the previous incident. If they had sufficient cause, why use the pretext of a blinker ? He should have been searched by a licensed dog and taken for questioning to a facility in that county.

They said the same thing about the other guy. Maybe it’s true? Maybe not.

So? Just because he had a prior history of hiding drugs in his anus, it didn’t permit police to take it this far on this occasion.

Is La Raza very active in the area? It was pointed out that in the Eckert case, all the officers involved where Hispanic and it may be race related.

“They’ll probably poop plastic backs filled with cocaine.”
What is that supposed to mean?

>> According the local paper, this guys has a long drug history with several pending charges and was known to keep drugs in his anus.

Do you have a link? Or should we just take your word for it?

While you’re at it, do you have a link that says BOTH victims regularly kept their drugs up their butts?

Not only that, in the last week, I’ve seen several local and CHP Geheime Staatspolizei, making turns and changing lanes without using their turn signals. Not one.

I would like to see a link to that newspaper article and the facts to back that up.

If it was the truth, you think that was OK?

What will happen, when someone decides to resist this crap?

You can read about it in that someone's obituary.

This will stop (to some degree) when the cops have reason to expect blow back for their actions. They know, and are correct, that there will be no significant repercussions from the courts for their actions. I leave it to you to contemplate what other repercussions could be visited upon them that would be a deterrent to these Gestapo-esc brutalities.

>> I think these cops have a weird anal obsession.

You ought to see what they do to their donuts (they prefer chocolate iced ones), before they (ugh) eat them.

Gross-out; I’m not lyin’.

I have considered the point that these guys may be known drug carriers/users/something. But, it doesn’t matter. In this country, we have rights. The warrants were obtained for flimsy reasons. The warrants were not good for the county in which they were executed. In at least one case, the warrant expired before the procedures started, in the wrong county.

Finally, even if they had adequate probably cause, once the x-ray came back negative... done, over. First cavity search negative... done, over... the continued searching when there is evidence that the “drugs” were not there is such abuse of power that people need to go to jail.

Drug mules or smugglers will often swallow bags of cocaine powder or heroin powder. After crossing the border, they wait until nature takes it’s course and...

That’s what the cops were looking for with x-rays, anal exams, and enemas. Drugs in baggies.
