Savage has the best rifles for an affordable price IMO. I'll second that. And 30.06 is cheap and versatile.

I had a 30-30 before my boating accident- I was going to go for 30.06 but this one was so pretty and calling out to me
Is the main difference distance?
I can hit something at 200 yards easy with the 30-30 but I guess the 30-06 will allow you to reach out and touch someone from 600 yards
