I read that Dems feel turnout must be 40% for McAuliffe to win, but who knows?
Drudge has a story up about voting machines malfunctioning in Loudon, which is a swing county.
We’ll have good turnout in my precinct near Smith Mountain Lake. Lots of older (and conservative) voters have retired here and they do vote.
I wonder how many cities and how many precincts in No Virginia will have 105% turnout and not a single vote for the Republicans?
Interesting the "malfunctions" inevitably seem to occur in "swing" or liberal counties. Here in the supposed backwater of Gloucester County, things run quite smoothly. We have the choice of touchscreen or paper ballot... the paper ballot allows you to draw a connecting line between your desired candidate's name and a point to the right. You hand the ID verification receipt to the processor, then he/she observes you slide the ballot into the reader. That is a good system. I've never been a fan of touchscreens... way too much possibility of the slightest malfunction effing up the works for everyone.
